Bernar was founded by D. Bernardo Suárez Fombona in 1.946 and it was initially named “Manufacturas Bernar”. In 1976 become S.A. Bernar and keeps this name until nowadays.

In the beginnings Bernar manufactured kitchen scales, meat slicers and churro making machines. The churro machine is indeed the most famous product of the company and has been traditionally linked to Bernar by consumers. Whit the run of the years Bernar have included among its products many other kinds of kitchenware. In the last 15 years Bernar has designed and developed new product and acquired new manufacturing skills in new materials, such as high quality plastics not used before by the company. Among these new products are the roll-holders, the new abs scales and the abs churro machine.

At the end of the fifties Bernar started its exporting business, and from 1.974 attends some of the most important international fairs. Nowadays Bernar attends every year the Frankfurt Fair Ambiente, where it has its own stand, and exports its product to many countries in the world such as Bulgaria, Chile, CH, France, Portugal, Greece, UK, USA, Mexico, Singapore and Saudi Arabia, among others.
